Quaker Meeting House
Our Meeting House is home to more than 80 voluntary and community groups who use our rooms throughout the year. We also host social gatherings. We welcome groups and individuals who are in sympathy with our Quaker values.
We have five rooms of varying size providing space for exhibitions, rehearsals, counselling and public meetings, as well as meditation and exercise classes. We represent great value for money for a city centre venue, and offer a distinctive and peaceful atmosphere.
We have a well equipped kitchen and a small car park, but spaces must be booked in advance.
Please note we have a 2 hour minimum booking rule.
We should like to encourage everyone who uses the Friends Meeting House to find ways of avoiding the creation of plastic waste. So please consider your use of plastic, particularly single-use plastic. For example: is it really necessary to use bottled water when there is free tap water available in the kitchen? Are single use containers really needed for food? Are you making maximum use of the crockery, cutlery and glasses that are available in the kitchen for hirers?
