Quaker Meeting House 'Hot-Spot'

fuzzwahoo
Visitors enjoy warmth, a friendly chat, free refreshments, games, wifi and book swap
This Hot-Spot is aims to offer local residents a place to come and socialise in a warm, secular and safe environment while the fuel bills are high and the weather cold. The scheme will run every Sunday afternoon over the winter from 2pm-5pm and is funded by a grant from Norfolk Community Foundation's Surviving Winter Fund.

Project Coordinator Martin Verran from Norwich Quakers said “Quakers have a long tradition of offering hospitality to residents. Times are hard this winter and I'm really pleased that local Quakers are able to carry on that tradition by joining with other local organisations across the City to offer warm spaces and am grateful to NCF for their support. Our team is really looking forward to building a new community, so why not come in from the cold and join us for a chat, a cuppa and a book?”

Claire Cullens, Chief Executive of Norfolk Community Foundation, said: ‘Norfolk Community Foundation is delighted to support this much needed project that will make a real difference in the community. We wish them every success with their work.’
